What could one have to say while seeing that the world is walking, step by step, towards the closing of the Sixth Seal? Which are the words to explain the reasons why "spiritual" leaders of humankind justify violence and hatred, all this in the name of their particular God, each one of them taking their Holy books (The Koran, the Bible) as the sorry excuse for the horrors and absurd events we are witnessing? We must not take sides. All men, women and children are our brethen, regardless of nationality, race, language, creed, political belief or age. Our prayers should cover them all, spiritual prayers born from our innermost feelings and the profoundness of our spirit because words are just not enough. ____________________________________________________________ 互户互户互猾せカせЙせカせЙせカせЙせカせЙせカ  - Our Moral Responsibility In times of upheaval, when the mad men of violence seem to take everything under their demential control toward the abyss, what's there for us to do? Plenty. It is here is where the supreme axiom of our Lord, delivered in one of His divine teachings, illuminates our way and our life: "Those who are not the contrivers of the war, are responsible for peace." Book of The True Life T115:38 It does not look as an easy task these days, when we are surrounded by an immense pounding of propaganda, diseminated every day, every hour, everywhere. What to believe then? Victor Hugo said: "Truth is the first casualty of war" which Churchill quoted later, during World War II. But as time passes, truth shall emerge again, intact and pristine from the prison where it has been secluded by lies, deceiving statements, passions, fanatisms and devious interests. We, as peacekeepers, have in front of us a very delicate mission: Without resorting to confrontation with those that, misleaded by their immoral leaders, have been guided to believe in war and terrorism as the solution, we must saturate our ambience -in our homes, our places of work, in school- so an invisible power emanates from us, the power of love which is peace, tolerance and understanding among each other. Elijah, our spiritual guide, delivered to us the 22 precepts that comprise the mandates of the divine law, applicable to our human life. And one of them reads as follows: "llth. You shall not defend civil war, thus dividing your brethren, nor shall you take part in foreign wars. You are only permitted to participate in activities of war if your nation is the one invaded and the government of that nation, whichever it is, would order it for their defense; and even then, you must comport yourself with the greatest charity and you will have no enemies, because you all are children of the same Father." (The Third Testament) The Forerunner The Counsels of Elijah The words couldn't be clearer. And the final phrase explains it all: we are all children of the same Father. I am letting you know with this wonderful teaching, where it clearly explains what is that what we should do to prevail over the mantle of madness that has fallen down over our world: "During this period of great spiritual battle, accompany all men with your prayer." "If you see them weep, do not join your weeping to the cause which makes them cry, but weep for them, because they are your brothers, and so that your tears of love become balsam and comfort. If you see them worried, do not participate in their cause of worry, because you are the sons of peace, but be watchful for them, and all of you convert yourselves into angels of peace. Let peace, which is a fruit of love, flow from your spirit like a dew upon all the Universe." "If you know that they hold discussions and they deliberate, expressing reasons that are opposed to other analysis, you must be above all that; penetrate into My Work, into My Word, at that instant, and spread upon the reasons that assist men for their struggles and their wars, the light of the Holy Spirit with your prayer, your example, and your word." "If you see them march along with weapons on their shoulders and then brandish them without mercy against their own brother, brandish your own weapons of love, of charity, of forgiveness, of eternal life." "Continue entering into prayer with gentleness, so that I can continue shaping you, so that soon I can leave you converted into servants of God and apostles of this Work." Well, literalism is basically a disposition to interpret statements, either oral or written, in their most literal sense. Following that notion, literalism lacks, for example, the ability to perceive and understand things like poetry. By confining the scope of words to its mere basic meaning, it deprives them of anything else than its rudimentary and primitive significance. The apostle Paul hated literalism. "(God) who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life." Cor. 2 3:6 KJV The letter kills, that's what Paul firmly believed. Speaking about the literal interpretations of the Scriptures, Paul stated: "But their minds (of the children of Israel) were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which [vail] is done away in Christ." Ibid 3:14 In other words, the veil over their faces (not literally speaking, of course!) kept them from understanding the many references that proved, beyond any question, that Jesus was, in truth, the Messiah. The problem is that, up to this very day and age, many men and women misread the teachings, prophecies and writings of the past eras, believing that the word by word interpretation is the proper one. If you try to translate, let's say, any given text written in Spanish or Italian to English or viceversa using any good dictionary, funny things will happen. In fact, you will find that for most of the words, there are 2, 3 and even more meanings. Which one of them is the correct one? The only way to choose the proper term is by seeing it inserted in its whole context. After all, context is the discourse that surrounds a language unit and helps to determine its interpretation. If that happens when translating from one human language to another, just imagine what would happen when translating from the divine inspiration to our material languages. ____________________________________________________________ 互户互户互猾せカせЙせカせЙせカせЙせカせЙせカ  - Final Word: Let us all pray, be watchful and be peaceful. And we must keep in mind also that if the leaders of the world do not know what they are doing, we do. Your Brother in the Lord The Little Worker **** PAST ISSUES AT http://144000.net/newsletter/ ****
