A popular saying states: "When the river makes noise, it must be carrying stones"; and on this occassion, we would like to comment with you something that has made so much noise, that from a small brook it has been converted to a white water river. We are referring to a movie that, because of the themes that it deals with, it has created a whirlwind of different opinions, a controversy that has been discussed in conversations over a cup of coffee, in family reunions, meetings at work, and in dinners amongst friends. The name of the movie is "What Dreams May Come", which is based on the novel of Richard Matheson, and has been nominated to win three Oscars. But, it is not because it is a nominated movie that has drawn the public's opinion in various places where it has been presented, but because as we mentioned earlier, it deals with themes that are not often spoken about, but everybody thinks about them. "What Dreams May Come", is a confrontation with the so feared Death, with Life after Life, with Reencarnation, with repentment and forgiveness, with suicide, with fear of lonelyness, and hell, as imagined by many people. It is a movie that also deals with hope, with the incomparable strength of love; it speaks of redemption and new opportunities; and well, it is a movie that perhaps, without an intention to do so, it has awakened thousands of people in the world and has invited them to think about all these things; it has converted itself in an echo which may help many to listen to the voice of their conscience, and to consider the possibility to accept that we are not only meat and bones, but something much more important and unperishable, this is... spirit. For this reason, in the next newsletters, we shall try to speak a little about these topics, and will try to share with you the knowledge which our eternal Father has given to us through His word delivered in this Third Era. Please fasten your seat belts..., here we go! ____________________________________________________________ «¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥« ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ FEAR OF DEATH In many occassions, we have been able to notice the fear that exists in the world about death; but, were does that fear come from? After talking to many people about this, we realized that it basically comes from ignorance, that is to say, from the lack of knowledge regarding death, and this lack of knowledge leads many people to see death as the end, as the consumation of everything, like ceasing to exist, or stop being; to others death signifies the step towards the unknown, fear of judgement and settling accounts; others see death as the loss of all their beloved beings. Many refuse to depart from their richess and pleasures; others are filled with fear to think that the marked hour will arrive without allowing them to finish doing those things that they should have done in their lives; and others (the fewer), see death as the end of problems and tests, and look forward to arrive to death because afterwards they can rest forever. In order to understand that all these ideas are erroneous, it is first of all necessary to understand two fundemental things: First, that everything that exists in our material universe is formed of energy, and energy does not die, it is simply transformed; and secondly, that our spirit having sprung from an Infinite and Eternal Father, same as Him, His children are infinitely eternal. It sounds good, no? But, what does all of this mean? Very simple, it means that death does not exist. Our Father has revealed to us: "I told you at that time that you should not fear death, because it does not exist; In My creation everything lives, grows and becomes perfect. Bodily death is only the end of a period that the spirit goes through, to return to its original state and thereafter follow its course to evolution." Third Testament. Book of the True Life. T 285:74 Many who will read this page may think at any given time: -If death does not exist, then how is it that God in his commandment told us "Thou Shall not kill?"- A good question! And to reply, we return as in many other occassions to remember that to understand the Divine Word, we have to elevate our thought and take our spirit above the material ideas, so that the heights of knowledge can be reached. Therefore, let us analyze... If the law was created for the spirit, and the spirit does not die, what does God refer to when He says "Thou Shall not kill"? Could there be another way of taking life, different from that which we commonly know? Indeed, what our eternal Father calls death, is to that state of prostration, that state of lethargy in which the spirit falls into, when it is not given the food that it needs to strengthen and manifest itself. Death to the spirit is all that which slows down its development, its evolution. The homicidal weapon, for example, is only the means to manifest what really harms the spirit which is the lack of love of those that create weapons or make use of them. Other type of weapons exist which are subtle, but as harmful: Our tongue, for example, is a weapon with which we can kill if we use it to damage the reputation of our brethren; jealousy, hatred, vengance, and all other low passions are those weapons which darken the spirit, and confuse it, sinking it in that apparent "Death" from which it can only escape through love, goodness, development of the gifts, recognition of committed errors, and the firm purpose to amend them. Our Father says: "When will you reach peace of spirit, when you have not even been able to reach peace of heart? I tell you that until the last homicidal weapon has not been destroyed, there will not be peace amongst men. Homicidal weapons are those with which men take away life, kill morality, deprive one another freedom, take away health, shake away tranquility, or destroy faith." The Third Testament. Book of The True life T 119:53. Then, how can death be defeated? Giving life! In the manner which we can dominate our low passions, in studying, analyzing and living the Divine teachings, in developing our gifts, and put to practice loving one another, in that same manner we will be giving life to our spirit and understanding that what we know as death, is nothing but the end of one period for the spirit and the beginning of another. Let it not be an obsession to us what we call material death! Instead, let us worry about living, to accomplish harmony between our spirit and matter, to live under the laws of love which God has given us so that when the time comes to leave our body, we do with the joy of knowing that we have accomplished the mission that we had in this life, and that we are ready to begin what is coming; being either the recognition of our faults and the opportunity to amend same, the acceptance of new missions, the knowledge of new spaces where our spirit can continue its path to evolution... in other words, life continues. "I told you at that time that nothing within My work would be lost; I also told you that none of my little ones would be lost, and I also revealed to you the inmortality of the spirit when I told you: I am life, he who believes in Me shall never die." Third Testament. Book of The True Life. T 186:21 ( John : 11:26) ____________________________________________________________ «¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥« ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ LIFE AFTER LIFE What will we find at the other side of the tunnel? What do we know about the "beyond"? What does man know about what exists after this life? There are so many theories about life after this life, and so much has been dogmatized about it that when the spirit after disencarnating expects to find exactly the place that it had imagined, depending on his current of thought or beliefs, it becomes confused when it does not find what in his concept should have been heaven, or the place of eternal rest. In the teachings which our Father has come to give us in this third epoch, He reveals that those spirits which have become confused due to their erroneous concept of the spiritual valley, upon not finding what they expected, and upon missing support of their accustomed matter, and without the sufficient preparation and spiritual elevation to leave the material valley, have created for themselves, without being aware, a world which is neither human nor profoundly spiritual in which they will remain until slowly, through meditation and pain will be able to comprehend that such is not the destined´place for the evolution of their spirit. Then they will hear the voice of their conscience, and before it judge their past deeds, and surge within them the desire to repair their errors. It shall then be the beginnig of a return journey to the spiritual valley. "Heaven is not a place, or a region, or a mansion; the heaven of a spirit is its elevation and perfection, it is its state of purity." Third Testament. Book of The True Life. T 146:68. To those who believe that upon disencarnating their spirit will arrive to the valley of eternal rest, we have the obligation to tell them that in the spiritual valley is where the activity really begins, because inactivity is like death to the spirit. The "rest" which awaits the spirit is activity, growth through good deeds, not wasting one instant. When the spirit is working, it finds the true manner to rest, because by doing good things it unloads pain and remorse ; in other words, the spirit's rest is the love for his Father and brethren. Our Father says: "In truth I tell you that if I would make your spirit remain inactive in order to rest, according to how you conceive rest on earth, the darkness of despair and anguish would possess him, because life and light of the spirit, as well as its major delight, are work, struggle and the unceasing activity." The Third Testament. Book of The True Life. T 317:13. Let us then not expect to find a "beyond" different from that which really exists. Our spirit could swiftly arrive to it, if we understand it, and if we prepare ourselves so that when the moment of disencarnation arrives, our spirit can find itself enlightened to make its return journey to its real or true home. "When death detains your heart beat and the light from your pupils are turned out, you will go to awaken to a marvelous world due to its harmony, order and justice. "Your conscience which is above your being will not remain on earth, but it will come with the spirit to show itself before him as if a book of profound and wise lessons that will be studied by the spirit. There your spiritual eyes will open to the truth, and in an instant you will know how to interpret what in a whole life time you could not understand; there you will understand the value of all that you had possessed, you will experience the weight and repentment for all the committed errors, for the lost time, and within you will be born the most beautiful purposes of amendment and reparation. "Comply with all My laws on earth, and you need not fear your arrival to the hereafter; In the same manner that you have seen the light of the world upon arriving, and as you have felt the presence of your parents, you will feel the presence of your Lord in that valley that awaits your return." A few days ago, a friend called to tell me what had happened to him last week. He was driving through a street in Mexico City, when suddenly a man in a motorcycle cut him off and banged his car with his motorcycle, afterwards he dismounted his bike, took off his helmet, and started hitting my friend with the helmet in the arms, face and wherever he could land his blows. My friend could not defend himself because, besides being held down by the seat belt within the car, he is almost 80 years old, and it was not easy for him to avoid that man's aggression who had allowed himself to be trapped by the claws of violence. Suddenly, a young man arrived to the scene in another car together with his mother, and to their astonishment, he rapidly got out of his car, and stopped the man who was hitting my friend, scolded him for his actions, and warned him not to ever repeat a similar thing. After the man from the motorcycle departed, the other young man approached my friend and asked whether he was ok, and where was he heading. My friend, astonished and dizzy from the blows that he had received in the head, told him that he was going to Cuernavaca where he lived, a city approximately 45 minutes south of Mexico City by car. The young man, without hesitating, told him that he would take him home, and would safeguard his well being. He drove with him up to his house, and after making sure that my friend was well, he got back in his car and drove back to Mexico City. Is it not wonderful and almost incredible?! My friend was so thankful, that he sent the next day a flower arrangement to the young man's mother, and a note blessing her for having such an exemplary son. These type of situations make me personally meditate about many things: For one, there is still a lot to work for and prayer is needed for those beings that allow themselves to be trapped by low passions, and in their confusion, they do not realize of the damage that they cause others as well as themselves; I ask you to join me in prayer for them. I remembered that we should not lose faith in the human being, because we must not forget that within each one of us, there is a wonderful spirit similar to that young man's which is our Father's creation. Let us send our blessings to everyone! Another thing which I have remembered is the important role which parents play in the spiritual development of our children; let us not forget that in many occassions, they are a reflection of ourseleves. Let us give them a good example! ____________________________________________________________ «¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥« ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Beloved: In many places "Holy Week" is celebrated at this time of the year. It is the rememberance of the passion of the Divine Master. I invite you to meditate about the real significance of His sacrifice, and I leave you for that purpose with some paragraphs contained in the Book of the True Life: "Oh, my beloved children¡ If you could comprehend that the encarnation of the Verb on earth is the greatest expression of divine love; it was a desire of humility amongst you, and a lesson in My desire to limit Myself, to make Myself small so that you would feel Me closer to you, and you closer to the Father." T 170:7 "If in the case of Isaac, a lamb came to substitute him to save his life, in the case of Jesus there was nobody to replace Him, because He knew that it was necessary for His blood to be spilled, in order for the essence and the light of that sacrifice to illuminate the spirit, the heart and the understanding of those men that lacked spirituality."
