It is time to once again remember our brethren, that those who are not the cause of war, are responsible for peace, even if on many occasions they become deaf to our words and under the pretext that they are full of material commitments, prefer to ignore what is happening in the world, forgetting about the spiritual commitments that each of us has with his brethren in this never ending fight against evil. Today we dedicate this brief space to those that prefer not to know, to those that may believe that to ignore will exempt them from spiritual responsibilities, to those that thinking that they are free, have become slaves of the world. ____________________________________________________________ 互户互户互猾せカせЙせカせЙせカせЙせカせЙせカ  -To know, or not to know That is the question, and even though more and more human beings decide that they want to know more about spiritual matters, about the responsibilities that we have with one another, and within is born the desire to do well, and the development of a more spiritual and true life, at the same time, in many others, indifference grows, materialism, the desire not to know or hear, contaminated by a world skepticism in which man does not expect anything from the divine charity. In his ignorance, materialized man becomes selfish, believing wrongly that he who lives for himself and for his own interests lives better, with more peace and happiness. He does not realize that with his rebelliousness he impoverishes, limits and oppresses his spirit, without allowing it the marvelous joy that emanates upon an accomplished mission, and without realizing that in an effort to maintain the ephemeral tranquility of his small material world, is sacrificing the largest and endless gifts, those that are not fleeting, because they belong to the eternal life of the spirit. When man is able to live in harmony between the material and the spiritual, he realizes that he does not have to distance himself from the world, or renounce to the goals or duties. It is not to our world that our Father asks us to renounce, but to the low passions, to materialism, to licentiousness, to pride and selfishness that man has created to his own detriment, leading him to run away from his spiritual responsibility, and the internal judgment of his conscience. Our Father says: "Do not believe that I would reprimand you, if within your heart you would demonstrate to me love for your life in the world. If your wish is noble and you desire that existence to honor My name, I have nothing to reproach you; however, if your attachment to the world is for insane ambitions or low passions, then I would be the first to tell you that you are not worthy to inhabit this world which I have lavished with blessings for the progress of your spirit". "Many centuries and many eras have passed, without men becoming aware that the compliance of My Law is not a human sacrifice; and, on the other hand, they do sacrifice flesh and spirit in the world, by evading My commandments. They have not been aware; they have not striven to understand that whoever complies with My word has to find the true happiness, peace, wisdom, and greatness, that materialistic men conceive in a different manner". T 313:18, 63 Through our Fathers teachings we understand that the spirituality of man does not consist in distancing himself from what pertains to a material life, but in harmonizing with all creation; but to accomplish such harmony it is the spirit that must go ahead of matter, to be above of what is human and be the guide, because to the contrary, as has always been the case, the spirit becomes the slave of the matter, and its deeds, same as in the case of its matter, small and perishable. It is time that man stops walking around the world placing as a flag the ignorance of the spiritual commitment, thinking that by refusing to know, saves him from responsibilities. No being on this planet is innocent. Let us not wait until the Divine Master says once again: "Father forgive them as they know not what they do", because the teachings are vast and have been given in abundance during the three eras that humanity has lived; what has lacked is study, analysis and understanding of the Divine Word. "The time of judgment has arrived in which I shall ask: Why have you denied Me? And to others: Why have you pursued Me? Does he who has not penetrated within himself have a right to deny the existence of my Kingdom? It is different that you do not know my truth, that you may no know how to find it, than that it does not exist. If you believe that only what you can conceive exists, I tell you that your ignorance is vast and your pride large". "In truth I tell you that he who denies God and His kingdom has denied himself. He who wants to take strength in himself believing to be absolute and feeling proud to be grand without God's necessity, very short shall his footsteps be in the world, soon he shall become lost, and his sufferings will be painful". T 282:19, 20 But there will come the time that even the most materialized of men, the most stuck to their material possessions, will feel the disgust and emptiness of their short glory, and as it is written, shall turn their eyes to the eternal spiritual riches. To every thing there is a season, and time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to plunk up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose, a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. Eccleciastes 3: 1-8 Man will understand that there is not a greater joy than that to share, or greater satisfaction than to see the fruit of goodness spread to others; he will feel the liberty derived from living in goodness and the sureness acquired by letting the steps to be guided by the light of the conscience. It is for this reason that those who have found this marvelous treasure have the obligation to raise our voices to speak to our brethren of the true life. It does not matter that many will refuse to listen to us; we do not know how many of those that say "no" with the words are saying "yes" with the heart. "Nobody better than I knows the evolution of your spirit, and I know that this Humanity, despite its great materialism, its love for the world, and its passions developed to the maximum of sin, only in appearance lives clinging to the flesh and to the material life. I know that as soon as he feels in his spirit the loving touch of my love, he will promptly come to Me to divest himself of his burden and follow Me to the pathway of truth that, without being aware of it, he wishes very much to travel" T 305:36 ____________________________________________________________ 互户互户互猾せカせЙせカせЙせカせЙせカせЙせカ  -Will the rich enter the kingdom of heaven? Then said Jesus unto his disciples: Verily I say unto you, that a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Matthew 19:23, 24 Difficult, but not impossible. Why is the reason for this? Could it be that our Father prefers us poor and needy ? No, what our Father wants from us is to be humble of heart and spirit. Our Father says: "I said that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, and if someone asks Me if he who has wealth is condemned to ever rejoice with the delights of My Realm, I say to him that when that heart would deprive himself of his greed, his egotism, and his materiality, he would cease to be the miserly rich, and then he would be able to enter My Kingdom. My justice never condemns anyone and much less eternally". T 71:64 The same as for the incarnated spirit to lack material goods is a test, a crucible that tempers and helps it to advance on the road, that which also possesses great material wealth is being submitted to a large test that implies a great responsibility, and in many cases, for the incarnated spirit, it is much more difficult to surpass. In the same manner as it is for the knowledgeable to have the obligation to teach the ignorant, in the same fashion he who has been given material goods, has the obligation of sharing with those who have the least. But, on many occasions, he who lives in opulence is so busy enjoying his material things, or in multiplying them that he forgets completely about his brethren's necessities, moreover, he has forgotten to thank God for all the things that he was allowed to have. However, he who gives a bit of what is left over, not as an act of love or because he truly feels the need of his brother, but as a means to shut off the voice of his conscience, thinking that he may be "buying indulgences to allow him an entrance to heaven", does not know what true charity really is, and his giving has no merit before our Father. ...whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? 1 John 3:17 How different our world would be if those who have been granted large material fortunes would learn to share with those that lack everything; instead of seeing their treasures multiply for their own benefit, would see them multiply in goods for the needy! Then they would be like Joseph, son of Jacob that by placing his faith in God, he made goods on earth grow for the benefit of all. "I want that everything be yours, but that you should know how to take conscientiously what you need; that you know how to be rich in the spiritual, and that you may possess much in the material if you know how to make good use of it, and give the one and the other its true value and place". "In what way can the spirit of an immensely wealthy man harm himself if what he possesses is for the benefit of his fellowmen? And, in what way can a powerful man harm himself if his spirit knows when to move aside opportunely to pray, and with his prayer, be in communion with Me?" T 294:38 This which to many may seem impossible, in the future may be a reality because there is no Divine word or prophesy that will not be complied with. Whenever he who possesses large riches keeps them for himself, reaches the limits of his ambitions and wishes of grandeur, he will raise his eyes to the sky tired of the futile fruit that his material treasures have rendered, and shall realize that even with all of his worldly power will he be able to fill the emptiness of his spirit. "This is the period when sinners will save the sinners, and in which the dead will revive and raise their dead. The hardened hearts, those who have seen the widow pass by, and the orphan, the hungry, and the sick, unmoved to their moral fibers, are going to awaken to love; they will be shaken by the pain of others, and their egoism will be destroyed. They will even forget about themselves in order to share with the suffering of their brethren". T 84:34 "The time draws near when the truth, reason, and the light, shall be those that will impose on the violence, the force, and on fear. But when will man be able to say, as Jesus: "My kingdom is not of this world", without disregarding anything created, taking everything with moderation, recognizing that the earthly possessions are temporary? Understand that the true strength is in the spirit; that the power on Earth, its vanities, its glories, and the splendor of its science, regardless of its length of reign, succumbs before eternity". Our Father has always said that while we take care of what is His, He will take care of what is ours, and this is a promise that He has always kept. The best proof of accomplishment in our lives is the peace which the spirit has reached, not the quantity of material goods accumulated during a life time.
