Oh, yes, our spirit is the most beautiful of all of God's creations and our essence; oh, if only we guide our steps in life in accordance with that which is our true self, surely this and all the worlds would be a paradise, that paradise lost since times remote due to our coldness and detachment from our Heavenly Father! We, men or women, are not just material beings having a spiritual experience, but rather, spiritual beings having a human experience in our way to perfection. We are more than flesh, as spirits we are the reason why the Universe exists. The human nature was given to us as an act of supreme divine love, not as trap or as a stumbling-block but rather as a support, as a framework of a life rich in lessons and experiences, sometimes sweet and sometimes bitter, but lessons at the end. In this month's issue we will make a quick overview of both our human nature and of that paradise that we lost. ____________________________________________________________ "¤"¥"¤"§"¤"¥"¤"§"¤"¥"¤""¤"¥"¤"§"¤"¥"¤"§"¤"¥"¤"§"¤"¥"¤"§"¤"¥" ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ - Of Human Nature There is a well-know proverb that says: "To err is human, to forgive divine"... Although was an author, Alexander Pope, who wrote it in "An Essay on Criticism" (England, 1711), many people, ignoring this fact, actually believe that it belongs to the ancient wisdom of the elders, and even a few think that it comes... from the Bible! Surely it is easy to agree with the second part of the saying, since forgiveness, as well as all virtues, is a divine attribute. But if we are to accept as a definite and absolute truth that to err is something inexorably inherent to human nature, then we can easily fall in fatalism. And if we get to believe that everything in the Universe is already predetermined by some Master Puppeteer, then we could end believing that there is not such thing as free will... But I hope that you agree with me that our free will is well and dandy... "Do not be fatalists, assuring yourself in the belief that your destiny is what God placed directly along your pathway; and that if you suffer it is because it was written, and if you rejoice it was also because it was written." "Within the spirit of man exists a Divine light that is his conscience, which illuminates his intelligence and inspires him toward a fulfillment of his duties." "For if an irresistible force obligated him only to follow a straight course, his compliance would not have any merit; and he would feel humiliated on realizing himself incapable of acting on his own free will, and that in spite of that, he would still be subject to a Law; but under those conditions in which your existence would evolve, who would be able to guide your thoughts toward righteousness? Only the Divine light of the conscience, which inspires man to comply with the Law, a light which dwells within the spirit and, through it, manifests itself to the matter." We must take in account that we, as humans, have not only the material nature - the matter that encompasses our physical body with its instincts as well as our superior senses- but also we have the spiritual and the divine natures; matter, spirit and conscience are what forms the human being. In view of this, then we understand that for every decision we face in our life, we have the freedom of choice to take it as we like. Of course, at this moment in humankind's history, the bad decisions outweigh the good ones; this is the reason why, for many, seems that is unavoidable that we human make mistakes... but, all the time? Surely not. Though far from perfection, from time to time, once in a blue moon, we get to make the right choices. After all, righteousness is too, part of human nature. So, what's the true dimension of what we can call "human nature"? "I created man with such perfection, that by contemplating himself he can see a reflection of who his Father is." "The fact that I had sought the way of communicating with men in three eras, is because I knew that at the end of the times, you would elevate yourself above the passions, the carnality, and the human miseries, living a noble life, full of high inspirations, filled with revealing deeds of your spiritual maturity." As spiritual children of God that we all are, it is just a matter of time that we conquer our spiritual maturity, as He explains in the above paragraphs. Then we will properly state that: "To be righteous is to be human." ____________________________________________________________ "¤"¥"¤"§"¤"¥"¤"§"¤"¥"¤""¤"¥"¤"§"¤"¥"¤"§"¤"¥"¤"§"¤"¥"¤"§"¤"¥" ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ - The Paradise Recovered Hunger, unjustice, poverty, sickness, war, dispair, fear, disasters... it sounds as a sinister catalogue of bad things that an screenwriter would use to make the script for a horror movie... but, alas! It gets worse than that: It is actually the description of the real world we live in nowadays. Just open any newspaper, and you will see that there is not a single day that something awful or terrible happens in our world. And this gloomy shade of suffering covers mankind all over. It has been for so long that humans follow that sorry routine of hopelessness, that at this time most people see as a natural thing, to live in a world that ressembles more a valley of tears than a paradise. "Have you not said that the world in which you live is a valley of tears; that is, a valley of restitution?" "And who made it a valley of tears, God or man? I created it in the image of a celestial paradise, endowing it with wonders and pleasures, even thinking of the smallest and most insignificant things in order to assure your happiness." "Nevertheless, in a world created in such a manner, for its well-being and progress, for the enjoyment and spiritual elevation of mankind, men still suffer, weep, become desperate, and become strayed." Paradise... where did it go? Oh, how we long for that paradise. Deep deep inside, even the most callous and numb of soul still longs for that garden of eden that this world once was. "Paradise is not on the Earth, nor did it disappear with the sin of man. The paradise of the Father is eternal and the new generations will reach it." "When My kingdom penetrates into all the hearts and its divine influence invades the roads and all the pathways of men, this Humanity will again feel the bliss, the peace that the first inhabitants on this Earth experienced within themselves, and the men of those times will say: The paradise has returned! The paradise draws near to us again!" "That paradise is nothing else but the kingdom of kingdoms, the paradise that your first Fathers inhabited was not on the outside, it was within themselves." Then, we could clearly see that paradise is not a physical place, it is more like a state of mind, a spiritual environment. "Where could be found the pleasant garden, that Eden which was the paradise of delights, of well-being, of happiness, and of innocence? It had risen to the Father and only an atom of peace remained, a spark of light and a conscience to illuminate the pathway of man along his long journey." "That is why men search in vain for that garden; men have in vain crossed different places in search of that paradise and they have not found it, because the paradise has never been on this Earth, it has been within the spirit, in the heart of men." "But today, I say to you: The paradise that your first fathers possessed by virtue of their innocence, you shall recover by virtue of the merits and the conscience." Can we then recover the paradise lost? Yes, indeed. As our Father teaches us, that paradise is within our spirit. We must work hard in ourselves to recover that that was lost; after all, we were the ones that let it go. And even so, we will have our Lord's by our side to helps us recover that treasure. "I shall make this world rise from its leprosy; I shall also let life surge from death, I shall achieve fruits of reconciliation to sprout from hatred and reason shall surge from madness." Imagine a world where there is no more room for the horsemen of Apocalypse, where love, understanding, justice and good reigns. Wouldn't it be nice? "Paradise existed, exists, and will persist in eternity, and in all eras that paradise, which is the Kingdom of the Father, has drawn close to the hearts who search for it, to those spirits who elevate themselves in search of that kingdom; to the spirits who open their doors to receive the influence, the feeling and beatitude of that kingdom." Prayer and charity which comes from love, giving light to confused beings, healing of the sick in the body, the mind and in the heart, inspiration and delivering comfort to the sad, are only a few of the resources we can use to aliviate the pain and suffering of our brothers. Let's use them every single day. And with it, we will advance in the road that leads us to recover that paradise we lost with our wrongdoings and lack of love. May the peace of our Father be with all of us.
