And we must go deep into this subject because, as you are probably aware, there are many many ideas and opinions -not only in the Internet but in the "real" world, whatever the users of this expression mean- rising doubts and contradictions. I, myself, just the other day I was listening to some good folks in very late late cable tv, that were very assertive while ssaying that spiritual prayer and communication must be obtained... thru physical exercises! Wow! Good ol' Moses... does this mean that he sure (Moses, of course) could done better with a step-master than with his baton? Frankly, I doubt it. But, hey, who am I to correct my fellowmen? But wait! Lucky us... we can always turn to the source of all wisdom and knowledge: Our Heavenly Father. "Practice the silence which favors the spirit so that it will find its God; that silence is like a fountain of knowledge and all who penetrate into it, will be filled with the clearness of My wisdom. The silence is like a closed place with indestructible walls, to which only the spirit has access. Man constantly carries within his innermost, the knowledge of the secret place in which he can communicate with God." "Practice the silence which favors the spirit so that it will find its God; that silence is like a fountain of knowledge and all who penetrate into it, will be filled with the clearness of My wisdom. The silence is like a closed place with indestructible walls, to which only the spirit has access. Man constantly carries within his innermost, the knowledge of the secret place in which he can communicate with God." "You can communicate with your Father wherever you are, for the place is of no consequence, it can be at the top of the mountain or if you find yourself in the depth of a valley, in the commotion of a city, in the peace of your home or in the midst of a struggle; if you seek Me in the interior of your sanctuary in the midst of the deep silence of your elevation, the doors of the universal and invisible temple will be opened instantly so that you feel yourself truly in the house of the Father, which exists in each spirit." "When the pain of your ordeals overwhelm you and your afflictions of life annihilate your senses, if you experience an intense desire to obtain a little peace, retire to your chamber or seek the silence, the solitude of the countryside, there elevate your spirit guided by its conscience, and enter into meditation. The silence is the kingdom of the spirit, a kingdom that is invisible to human eyes." "At the moment of penetrating the spiritual ecstasy, the awakening of the superior senses is obtained, intuition surges, the inspiration glows, the future is perceived and the spiritual life touches what is distant, and makes possible what before seemed impossible." "If you wish to penetrate the silence of this sanctuary, of this Ark, you yourselves should be the ones to prepare the way, for only with true purity will you be able to penetrate it." "Here I am, disciples, showing you how to develop your spirit, so that you will get to know the ecstasy of the spirit, because the voice of the conscience is clearly heard within him, and what is impenetrable becomes transparent, and the darkness is illuminated." "That state of elevation cannot be a privilege only for some beings; it is a gift that is latent in every spirit, but in past times I have availed Myself of those who have known how to make use of that grace. In order for the ecstasy to be perfect, you first have to pass through a meditative withdrawal, as the just people of the first eras did. That is why Jesus taught you these things during the Second Era, when He retreated to the desert for forty days before beginning to preach the good news, to withdraw Himself in solitude, meditate, and comfort Himself in the Almighty." From Teaching 22 The Book of The True Life (The Third Testament) So...if we break it down, we find that there very strong basic concepts here: 1) SILENCE. The importance of avoiding all the noise caused not only by the world, but mainly, the one that comes from our own ideas and that keeps out of the reach of our own conscience. 2) PLACE IS IRRELEVANT. But of course! It doesn't matter whether you are in a magnificent valley or in a dump in the outskirts of town, what counts is your state of elevation. 3) PURITY IS THE ONE THAT WOULD LEAD US INTO ELEVATION. Please note, our Father is talking about purity, not perfection. And purity can be conquer if we really try to "clean up" the usual mess in which we have converted our mind and heart. Just as we clean our body, we can clean our mind and senses. Sure, later on perhaps we will be uncleaned again, but at least, at that very moment, we attain the necessary requeriment to initiate the journey to higher grounds for our spirit. Perfection is something that it is not obtained that easy. I still have to get to know one single person or being -apart from the Divinity- that enjoys that privilege. Not even Mother Nature is perfect. If you don't believe me just ask the dinosaurs. 4) MEDITATION. You can get in almost any bookstore, a manual or guide to begin to medidate, as probably many of you already do. But this is not exactly what the Father is referring to in His words...if you take a closer look, He is speaking of something more profound and trascendent that your everyday meditation, which is the meditative withdrawal, very similar as the one that Jesus tought us. I have to point out that breathing exercises and body relaxation are only the beginning or the doorway to more intense states of medidation, though the really elevated beings in History skipped those materials steps regularly. They sure can help us, mere mortals, but the true fact is that they are not indispensable. The best comes once we have followed all the guidelines necessary to get our spirit into true elevation, spiritual elevation that is. And the jewel and award for the spirit that attained that state of elevation, is spiritual ectasy. What is spiritual exctasy? We will extend on it in our next issue. _______________________________________________ HIGHLIGHTS: Silence -not only in the ears but in the heart- is much needed, as well as purity in order to attain spiritual elevation. If you've never tried, surely a meditative widthdrawal from worldy matters will put you into the right track and place is irrelevant. ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ________________________________________________ «¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§« ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ** Doctrine, not Religion ** Spirituality is the Doctrine of the Holy Spirit, therefore, a spiritual follower is a disciple of the Holy Spirit. The Spiritual Doctrine elevates man above all human condition, up to the heights of that which is eternal, pure and perfect. It is the most beautiful message of comfort and love for the heart and the most profound message of enlightenment for the spirit. Its essence is eternal; it is the one which God has revealed to man throughout the ages, the same which in Christ became Flesh and Blood, Life and Word to save humankind. The Father called us Trinitarians, making us aware of the Trinity of God during the Three Eras in which He has manifested Himself to humankind. Three distinct phases of the same and only God. He named us Marian followers by teaching us to love Mary as our spiritual Mother, who incarnated in a woman to manifest to humankind His Divine Tenderness, so that through her Virginal bosom the Word would become man. Spiritualism is the name given to the revelation that speaks of spiritual life. It teaches us how to communicate directly with our Father helping us to achieve spiritual elevation. It is a revelation that has been developing in accordance with the spiritual evolution of humanity. This doctrine teaches us the perfect love for God and for our fellowman. It offers the path that leads to perfection. And it is the Doctrine revealed by the Divine Master in the Third Era, The Doctrine of Spirituality. Spirituality is the elevation of thought, purity in deeds and in words, generosity and elevation of life. The Doctrine does not impose any beliefs on us. Our spiritual capacity is the only thing that will allow us to comprehend His teachings and thus attain knowledge. It teaches and invites humankind to find our Lord along in our path, because he reveals Himself in everything as Creator, as strength, as life, and as perfection and harmony. God lacks form and thus we should not try to visualize Him through any limited figures. The spiritual work does not need material symbols nor rituals. It is the continuation of the doctrine that Jesus brought in the Second Era. Any man will become its representative. Christ will be our guide and His guidance will come to us through our conscience. Spiritualism is not a religion, a sect nor a new doctrine . It is the law of all eras. Spiritualism gives freedom to the spirit and means continual evolution and elevation of the spirit. ________________________________________________ «¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§« ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ** Soul and Spirit ** As promised in our past May 2001 issue, we now will overview a very interesting topic which relates to those wonderful little creatures, our animal pets. Probably you are a cat or dog lover and many times you have seen what a extraordinary set of talents and perks our little friends have. They express, many times, such great sentiments and emotions that have lead many to wonder if they, just like us, have a spirit since in many ways, boy! are they so like us! But truth is that, without taking any credit or merit away from them (their loyalty, their appreciation for their human companions, etc.) they all respond to the same invisible, powerful force that we know as "soul". Up to this point, most of you will probably agree with me easily. Problem is when we then turn to the difference between the soul and sometime that's even more powerful, subtle and sublime: The spirit. Many think that soul and spirit are only different words for the same concept, but they are not. If you wish, please take a peak on the page we have regarding this important difference. Then, please, click back so we can continue with our present topic. http://144000.net/soul.htm OK...then, if you just returned from that page, you know by now that in the original texts of the Bible, whenever soul is mentioned, it refers to the physical force that serves as the foundation of material life itself and that soul is invisible and imperceptible in many ways but it has weight (oh, yea, it has) and it occupies a space, a place. In other words, you can measure it. The spirit, on the other hand, is used in the Bible in a much more profound sense. Eg.: The verse in John's Gospel where the Lord states: "God is Spirit", and so forth... Animals have souls, some of them of superior nature. It is not the same the soul of a snail or a molecule (yep, they have souls too, little souls) like, say, the one that sustains Lassie or Socks (the Clinton family's cat). Humans have souls too, but they do have something that animals lack of: They all have spirit. And it is because man have a spirit, why the Christ came to redeem them and to show them the path of salvation and spiritual evolution toward perfection. ________________________________________________ «¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§« ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ** Final Word ** This issue was loooong....bye!
